Butter Serving Paddle
These sweet, palm-sized little boards are designed for serving butter or perhaps cheese. They are made from locally collected beech which I carve freehand to give them their delightfully imperfect character. Each one is an individual piece, slightly different from any other.
Click here to see an instagram clip of me making one of these. It will also give you a good idea of the size of the paddle.
Each board is treated with food-grade linseed oil to protect it. They can be washed safely washed in hot soapy water. Lengthy soaking and dishwashers are best avoided.

Traditional butter paddles are tools, used as a pair, to work freshly churned butter to remove the whey and give it shape. The paddles I'm selling here are inspired by these traditional butter making tools but lack some of the features they need to be useful for butter making. These are intended to be used as serving boards. If you wish to make butter, let me know and I can make you a pair of butter paddles of a more traditional design.
